Assembly, Printing & Trimming

Templates, print settings, applying sticker media, trimming, rounding.

Templates & Tools

  • PDF 9-up: Proxy Print Setup, MTG-Print (upload custom), KPPT by Burton.
  • Enable cut guides. Select “Actual Size” and disable any fit-to-page.
  • Use system dialog and choose the highest quality paper type.

Applying Sticker Media

  1. Cut cards with a rotary bypass trimmer.
  2. Peel and align to long edge of a common; smooth bubbles as you go.
  3. Leave ~1–1.5 mm excess all around; trim flush after application.
  4. Round corners with 3 mm; flip card face-down to avoid shearing.

Print Settings

  • Install full manufacturer drivers for advanced options.
  • Select best paper type; this controls ink density and pass speed.
  • Dry time: 1–2 minutes on quality media; avoid handling during dry.

Trimmer Cleaning (Adhesive Media)

  • Quick clean every 1–2 sheets: Tweezers + Q-tip with Goo Gone on blade/rail.
  • Full clean (e.g., Fiskars): remove rail, clear debris; re-seat blade against metal edge.

MDFC (Dual-Sided)

Print front/back on glossy photo paper and bond with thin super glue. Keep glue at least 1/3" from edges to prevent squeeze-out. Duplex alignment on consumer printers is not precise — cut by the front, slightly oversize the back image to appear flush after trimming.
