Common Issues

  • Cards wrong size: print at 100% / Actual Size; disable shrink/enlarge.
  • Blurry text: nozzle clean; highest quality mode; correct media profile; proper upscale.
  • Ink smears/wheel marks: disable high-speed; reduce ink density; enable Thick Paper; try matte profile; better media.
  • True black: use printers with pigment black; manufacturer drivers; OEM ink/media.

Manual Printhead Cleaning

  1. Power on; when head moves, unplug. Open lid.
  2. Place alcohol-wet paper towel under head using long swab; slide gently.
  3. Wait 5 minutes, power up, run a test sheet.

Glossary

  • Generative fill: AI inpainting to extend/repair content.
  • Upscaling: ML-based resolution increase and restoration.
  • Vibrance: boosts undersaturated colors more than saturated.
  • Clarity: midtone edge contrast enhancement.
  • PPI: pixels per inch (digital); DPI: dots per inch (print).
